North West is following in the footsteps of her famous father, Kanye “Ye” West.
According to HotNewHipHop, the 12-year-old announced on social media that she produced “Justswagup,” a new song with rappers Mag!c and Lil Novi, Lil Wayne’s son, Neal Carter.
It’s not the preteen’s first foray into music, as she’s made music with her dad and other artists like FKA Twigs.
North teased two other tracks on Instagram Stories
North shared the song on Instagram Stories on Sunday. She also teased two other tracks she appears to have produced: “Did You Know” and “Miku.”
Although her account seemed to disappear shortly thereafter, news of the 12-year-old’s beatmaking and producing credit on “Justswagup” still circulated widely online.
Fans impressed with North and Lil Novi’s collaboration
Many are praising North’s experimentation and artistry on social media.
Some are marveling at the fact that Ye and Weezy’s children are working together on music, mirroring the rappers’ previous collaborations.
“That’s actually so sick that lil Wayne’s son and Kanye’s daughter are making music together,” a listener commented on Instagram.
“Lil Wayne’s son and Kanye’s daughter working on music together at such a young age is crazy to me,” another echoed.
One fan even predicted a future collaboration with another child of a rap superstar.
